Toyota Research Institute (TRI) is seeking an engineering student for a paid, 12-week internship contributing to its robot hardware development and testing group. This is a hybrid, in-office role focused on developing and testing robotic hardware. The intern will design, fabricate, order, and assemble robotic systems and test spaces, including structural and electromechanical components. They will work across disciplines to define project requirements and support project needs, including rapid iteration on robot component designs and maintenance and repair of robotic systems. The intern will also help keep the robotics lab safe, clean, and effective; plan, execute, document, and communicate testing activities; and provide clear, accurate reporting of test conditions and results. Occasional travel may be required, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
