Robotics Engineer

Stark AerospaceColumbus, MS
Onsite

About The Position

This role involves programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial robotic systems within aerospace and defense manufacturing. The engineer will develop and maintain robotic programs and automation sequences to enhance production efficiency, quality, and repeatability. Responsibilities include supporting the integration of various robotic systems, troubleshooting electrical and control issues to minimize downtime, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position also requires reading technical documentation, assisting with equipment commissioning and validation, supporting new product introductions, and developing technical documentation. A key aspect is supporting root cause analysis for automation and robotic system performance issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience programming and supporting industrial robotic systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Fanuc robotic systems including robot programming, troubleshooting, teach pendant operation, and system integration.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation systems including PLCs, HMLs, sensors, servos motion controls, and industrial communication networks.
  • Experience with robotic welding, automated assembly, machine tending, or material handling applications is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in automated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, or other high-reliability manufacturing industries is preferred.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Fanuc robotics certifications, PLC programming certifications, or automation-related technical certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Additional experience with industrial automation software vision systems, or advanced robotics integration is a plus.

Responsibilities
