About The Position

The 2027 Robotics Engineer intern will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team working across software, hardware, and field testing. The team's work spans machine perception, autonomous decision-making, data fusion, control systems, and mechanical design, with applications for uncrewed air, sea-surface, and underwater vehicles. The intern will help prototype robotic solutions to address challenges facing the Navy and gain exposure to technical challenges in uncrewed systems. The team develops solutions from conception through field testing.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Have a passion for learning and willingness to acquire and apply new skills.
• Be able to work and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Be able to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance by the start date and ultimately obtain a Secret clearance; eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.
• Provide a copy of college transcripts when prompted; unofficial transcripts are acceptable.

Nice To Haves

• Classroom or professional experience working closely with robotic systems, autonomous systems, or machine perception algorithms, including machine learning.
• Experience developing in a modern, collaborative software development environment.
• A current active Secret clearance.
