About The Position

The Automation Controls Engineer will specialize in mobile robotics. Your responsibilities will lead you to actively collaborate with our technical team, production teams and customers in the development, programming, and optimization of our automation equipment, and more specifically in the development and deployment of our Mobile Robotics solutions.

Requirements

  • Technical degree in automation, electrical engineering, or software programming (Programmer Analyst).
  • Knowledge of C#, Visual Basic (Visual Studio .NET) programming desired.
  • Experience and/or very strong interest in industrial automation and mobile robotics (AMR, AGV).
  • Knowledge of control system disciplines, including PLCs, motion control, sensing and Industrial communication networks.
  • Machine intelligence knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with OMRON Sysmac Studio and Beckhoff TwinCAT software is preferred.
  • Dynamic and inventive, and passionate for developments and challenges.
  • Excellent analytical mind, perseverant, rigorous, and organized.
  • Autonomous with a team spirit and eager to become a key part of this team.
  • Domestic and international travel to support customers required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates residing in Colorado due to the nature of the role requiring frequent on-site presence and/or rapid response times.
  • Working daily onsite at Muller Technology CO, Inc. with expectation of no less than 40 hours worked weekly.

Nice To Haves

  • Machine intelligence knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with OMRON Sysmac Studio and Beckhoff TwinCAT software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Project analysis and management.
  • Active participation in the development and deployment of our mobile robotics solutions (AMR, MOMA, etc.).
  • Active participation in the development of innovative and tailor-made solutions for our clients.
  • Autonomous Mobile Robot Programming of OMRON AMRs.
  • Industrial programming (API, HMI: Omron, Sysmac studio / Industrial robots, Stäubli, TM).
  • Commissioning of our automation systems, internally and during installation at our customers.
  • Provide system support to the Final Test department.
  • Provide remote support to Field Service Technicians and customers.
  • Collaborate and exchange best practices with the controls team in Switzerland.
  • As well as any other task which by its nature is part of the field of automation.
