Requirements

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Strong mechanical design skills, including proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
  • Interest in robotics, computer vision, and mechatronics concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology and a passion for robotics.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with industrial robotics, end of arm tooling, and sensors.
  • Extra-curricular Mechatronics Projects that demonstrate interest in robotics, mechanical design, and mechatronics design.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to create and optimize robot programs using 3D vision software for tasks such as bin picking and path planning.
  • Contribute to the design of fixtures, camera mounts, and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) for integrating 3D vision with robots.
  • Build, assemble, and test mechanical components and robotic systems; ensure performance and reliability standards are met.
  • Support R&D in mechatronics, automation, and robotics; integrate new hardware solutions into robotic systems.
  • Collect and analyze experimental data to evaluate performance, troubleshoot issues, and propose improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of designs, experiments, and procedures; contribute to user guides and technical documentation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, product management) to ensure smooth integration of vision systems and mechanical components.
  • Identify and troubleshoot challenges in hardware integration; propose creative solutions to overcome technical barriers.
