Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 6 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the automated case packer robot.
  • Comply with Safety work rules at all times and reinforce Safety as a Core Value.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures and activities related to Food Safety & Quality are followed and complied with uniformly.
  • Use computer console to configure SKU settings.
  • Observe product moving through conveyor system to detect defect packaging, misalignment and correct as needed.
  • Supply robot case packer with shippers.
  • Stop equipment to clear jams and inform lead and/or supervisor, or maintenance, of any equipment malfunction.
  • Maintain records related to production, including date codes and product labels.
  • Follow all SQF principles pertinent to your position as specified by the SQF Practitioner.
  • Report all food safety and human safety concerns to appropriate personnel such as QA technician, Safety Manager, FSQ Manager, etc.
  • Embrace change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
  • Perform sanitation process within the packaging area, along with other production staff, including sanitation in the Ambient, Spiral Chillers and Binoveyor rooms using standard chemicals.
  • Be accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
  • Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
  • Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
