About The Position

Morbark LLC in Winn, Michigan is seeking a Robot Operator to run robotic weld cells to their maximum capacity. This role involves ensuring quality parts are produced by keeping parts loaded, performing touch-ups, and collaborating with robotic programmers for smooth and efficient program execution.

Requirements

1-3 years of welding experience, GMAW preferred.
Basic welding knowledge, including differentiating good and bad welds and identifying weld issues for programmers.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to look up drawings and prints.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds from ground level to chest level.
Unimpaired speech, hearing, and sight.
Ability to perform postural changes such as sitting, reaching, climbing, standing, walking, and lifting intermittently.
Ability to stand and walk on cement for long periods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and keep up.

Responsibilities

Load and unload assemblies into the robot, ensuring proper location and correct build.
Perform daily robot maintenance, including cleaning robots and sweeping cells.
Manage consumable usage, changing out consumables as needed and monitoring consumption.
Ensure weld quality meets Morbark standards and collaborate with programmers for necessary program changes.
Troubleshoot basic robot faults to get them back up and running.
Work safely, ensuring personal safety and the safety of others around the robots.
