Requirements

  • One year of experience as a Roadway Programs Specialist or Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Three years of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and an associate's degree in a field of business administration, computer science, highway engineering technology or closely related program
  • One year of experience in the analysis, development, and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system; and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or civil engineering related discipline
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate roadway maintenance programs and assist in developing the Annual Work Plan
  • Manage county budgets, prepare reviews, and recommend budget adjustments to support operations
  • Determine material needs, monitor inventories, and oversee ordering of essential maintenance supplies
  • Review schedules, reports, and planning documents to adjust work plans based on conditions and priorities
  • Ensure proper work zone setups and support safe work environments through monitoring and guidance
  • Manage workload distribution and handle the direction of staff, training, evaluations, and concerns
