Roadway Engineering Intern - Networking Event with AECOM – Atlanta, GA
About The Position
AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Atlanta November 5th and 6th. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027. The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines. On Friday, interviews will take place at our Atlanta, GA office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. AECOM is actively seeking a Roadway Engineering Intern to join our strong transportation engineering team in Atlanta, GA. This position is expected to begin in May 2027. This person will be working with and in support of project managers and lead engineers.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Must have completed one year of study.
Nice To Haves
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with CADD software (ex. AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads).
Responsibilities
- Apply industry standards in roadway design.
- Assist in preparing plan sheets, including typical sections, alignments, layouts, and cross sections.
- Learn CAD design software.
- Participate in team meetings.
