About The Position

This role involves assisting with the design and production of transportation projects for DOT, turnpike, county, and municipal clients. The engineer will support the project manager in all aspects of design, including roadway design, bridge design, drainage, and traffic control. Additionally, the position requires providing leadership and guidance to production staff, preparing project proposals, and attending client meetings to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

B.S. in Civil Engineering.
1-5+ years of experience in DOT, municipal, and county-related transportation projects.
Prior experience in roadway and/or bridge design.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks.
Excellent presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.
Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and handle confidential information appropriately.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation products (OpenRoads, InRoads, or Geopak) is preferred.
PE license in Kansas is preferred (or the ability to obtain said license in a timely manner).
Knowledge of local standards and requirements is preferred.
