About The Position
Engineering firm is seeking a Roadway Engineer/Project Manager for their Raleigh office! Salary is commensurate with experience. Requirements
- BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited College or University
- PE License in North Carolina
- Proficient in the design, preparation, and delivery of roadway design plans
- NCDOT design experience preferred
- Familiar with AASHTO, FHWA, and NCDOT standards
- Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and AutoCAD
- Prior experience managing projects (developing proposals and overseeing project timelines and budgets)
Responsibilities
- Design and plan preparation for both highway and local road projects
- Ensure that plans meet the highest technical standards through internal quality reviews
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Assist in preparing and negotiating project fee proposals
- Prepare design schedules, construction cost estimates, and deliver staged project submittments on time and within budget
- Build/maintain client relationships
- Assist with contract negotiations when necessary
- Collaborate with other teams/staff to successfully execute transportation projects
