About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and make advanced repairs on equipment at customer locations. This role aims to minimize downtime by ensuring repairs are done safely and effectively. The fleet varies but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on various equipment in challenging remote locations, develop new skills for a career in service or operations management, and work with a team in a safety-focused environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or Oil & Gas equipment) based on role strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations.
Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.
