The primary responsibility of the Road Technician position is to determine the status of service needed for various heavy machinery and/or machinery equipment. The technician will perform the necessary service, preventative maintenance, repairs, replacements, and installations or re-building of parts to restore the equipment to proper operation. This role involves troubleshooting and providing after-sale support, diagnosing hydraulic and electrical issues, installing and updating equipment, and providing technical guidance for Trimble products. The technician will also perform diagnostics and repairs on various engine types (liquid propane, gas, and diesel), electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake, steering, electrical, and lifting systems. Routine and operational maintenance is crucial to ensure equipment runs according to manufacturer's specifications. The role requires maintaining parts and supplies, keeping the work area clean and safe, and participating in safety meetings.
