About The Position

This position will diagnose and repair various material handling equipment at customer sites. The Road Technician must perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation efficiently and accurately, and without causing significant safety threat to self or others. Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Excellent customer service/communication skills required.
  • Must have your own tools.
  • Computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Toyota Material Handling equipment is highly preferred.
  • Previous field experience in construction equipment preferred diagnostics, repair and servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and inspect Toyota Lift equipment and components, and/or evaluate disabled Equipment to assess their condition and determine needed repairs.
  • Discuss equipment problems with customers, shop supervisor and/or others as needed.
  • Repair, replace, calibrate, adjust, and/or rebuild engine components.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper operation.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections of new equipment.
  • Inspect, add and/or change fluids and lubricants; Diagnose and replace worn parts and perform other routine servicing and maintenance.
  • Read equipment manuals, service bulletins and other resources.
  • Attend training sessions as needed/required.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of equipment to be serviced.
  • Assist with ordering parts, materials and supplies needed for repair and maintenance.
  • Record work performed, time and materials used for each job; complete timecards and maintain related work logs and records.
  • Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment and perform related duties as assigned in support of service department operations.
