About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team in a pre-op, post-op, and endoscopy setting. The role uses specialized nursing training and knowledge to deliver patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making, communicate with colleagues, receive professional development support, and contribute to the future of nursing at the organization.

The position is based at MultiCare Capital Medical Center, a 107-bed community hospital serving Olympia and nearby communities. The schedule is 0.9 FTE, working three 12-hour day shifts on Monday, Thursday, and Friday.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
• Certification in a specialty area.
• One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Apply nursing education and experience to deliver care using the nursing process and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience while reducing costs.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
