About The Position

Northern Light Mercy Hospital is seeking nurses for a direct-contracting, traveler-like opportunity in the Emergency Department at Mercy Fore River. Nurses join the team as temporary per diem employees for 12 weeks. They are scheduled as needed in consultation with department managers and may be assigned to other areas based on business needs. Positions are available on days and nights. At the end of the 12-week period, nurses may pursue a permanent full-time, part-time, or regular per diem position with Mercy.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credential.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, and database experience.
• Ability to lift, move, and load 30 to 50 pounds.
• Availability for alternate shifts, including day, evening, night, and weekend schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services in the Emergency Department and other areas as assigned based on business needs.
• Work scheduled shifts as needed in consultation with department managers.
• Promote safe, patient-centered care and collaborate with care teams.
• Use available resources effectively and support quality and safety improvement.
