About The Position

The Special Procedures Technologist coordinates the technical and patient-care components of angiograms, interventions, and other invasive procedures under the supervision of the Special Procedures Supervisor, Cath Lab Manager, and credentialed physician. The technologist is responsible for all aspects of patient care in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures.

This is a 13-week contract assignment, not to exceed 26 weeks. Contract employees are assigned to specific divisions and must have at least two years of experience in the applicable specialty. The schedule is 36–40 hours per week (72–80 hours per pay period), with 8-hour shifts or unit-designated work hours. Scheduling depends on unit needs and includes rotating weekends and call. Pay is $77.00 per hour plus applicable shift differential. This temporary position is not eligible for benefits.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved school of Radiology Science.
• Be registered by the ARRT.
• Have two years of experience as a radiographer.
• Maintain BLS certification.
• Have a minimum of two years of experience in the specialty area to qualify for the contract assignment.
• Be available for 36–40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts or unit-designated work hours, rotating weekends, and call, based on unit needs.

Nice To Haves

• One year of special procedures experience is preferred.
