About The Position
Provide care, treatment, and general welfare of patients at Central State Hospital, a forensic/psychiatric facility. Perform nursing duties in assigned areas and during the assigned shift, using moderate latitude for initiative and independent nursing judgment under general supervision. Complete basic and complex nursing tasks to meet individuals’ health needs, including collecting lab work and conducting other health screenings. Follow agency, facility, and unit policies and procedures. May supervise others and act as Charge Nurse or Shift Supervisor when needed.
Requirements
- Active nursing license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Current TB screening; if TB test is positive, a chest X-ray is required.
- Current physical examination.
- Current flu vaccination; waiver available.
- Nursing diploma or official college transcripts.
- Must pass a drug screen and fingerprint background check.

Benefits
- $40 per hour for local candidates.
- Paid every Friday.
- Insurance available to full-time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
