About The Position

The RN is an integral member of the hospice interdisciplinary care team and provides patient care visits, assesses medical needs, liaises with physicians, attends deaths, responds to triage calls, and assists with the admission process. Hospice care must be delivered according to accepted standards of practice and guided by the organization’s mission and the needs and concerns of patients and families. The RN blends hospice services into an integrated program of support, providing coaching and education to patients and families with substantial one-to-one time. The position is based out of a facility in Northwest Arkansas or Northeast Oklahoma. The RN makes home hospice nursing visits as needed and in rotation with other teammates. It offers a night differential, mileage reimbursement, and a benefits package.

Requirements

Current unrestricted RN license in Arkansas, Oklahoma, or a compact state.
BLS certification.
Strong assessment skills.
Critical thinking and a high level of problem-solving ability in a healthcare facility.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and cope with human suffering and emergencies.
Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
Use of a personal vehicle is required.

Nice To Haves

Hospice, home health, or acute care nursing experience.
Computer charting experience.
