Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license
Ability to manage a typical nursing unit
Proficiency in developing, implementing, and evaluating resident plans of care
Strong communication skills for interacting with providers, residents, families, and staff
Ability to identify changes in resident condition and document appropriately
Good judgment and specialized skills
Adherence to facility policies and procedures, including resident privacy and dignity

Responsibilities

Assigns duties to professional and non-professional staff according to education, training, policy and resident need.
Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed to assure quality resident care is delivered.
Develops, implements and evaluates resident plans of care.
Communicates plan of care to providers, residents, families and staff.
Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation following the Interact process.
Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.
Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.
Demonstrates the ability to manage a typical nursing unit.
Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
