About The Position

This is a 13-week assignment for an RN Quality Assistant position. The role involves assisting the Director of Quality Management in managing the performance improvement functions for assigned PAM Health hospitals. The Quality Assistant will collaborate with hospital and medical staff leadership to promote a culture of safety by coordinating activities to improve patient care and organizational functions. This role also serves as a liaison with accrediting and regulatory bodies and assists in providing direction to the medical staff regarding quality measures.

Requirements

Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
Current BLS certification is required.
Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assisting in the management of efficient, cost-effective operations of the performance improvement functions for the assigned PAM Health hospital(s).
Coordinating with the Director of Quality Management, hospital, and medical staff leadership to foster a culture of safety.
Coordinating the design, measurement, assessment, and planning activities to improve patient care and organization functions.
Serving as a liaison with accrediting and regulatory bodies such as TJC, CMS, and Department of Health.
Assisting in providing direction and assistance to the medical staff regarding medical staff quality measures.
