About The Position

Essentia Health is hiring a registered nurse for the Observation Unit at Miller Dwan Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. The nurse organizes and provides patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation; leads the care team and delegates care to nursing personnel according to their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions; contributes to the facility’s and Essentia Health’s mission and goals; and meets applicable Joint Commission and other regulatory or accrediting requirements.

The position is 0.75 FTE, working 12-hour shifts on a permanent night rotation from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The schedule includes every third weekend and holidays. There is no call obligation. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 for an ADN or $10,000 for a BSN.

Requirements

• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month.

Nice To Haves

• One year of acute Med/Surg RN experience preferred.
• Critical Care experience preferred.
