About The Position

Essentia Health is hiring an RN for the Observation Unit at Miller Dwan Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. The role organizes and provides patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN serves as a team leader and delegates aspects of care to nursing personnel according to their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. The position contributes to the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia Health, serves the community, and meets applicable Joint Commission and other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting requirements.

This position is 0.75 FTE with 12-hour day/night rotation shifts, working every third weekend and holidays. Shift start times are 0700 and 1900; end times are 1930 and 0730. There is no call obligation. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 for an ADN or $10,000 for a BSN. Compensation is listed as $45.03–$68.87.

Requirements

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month.
• One year of acute Med/Surg RN experience.

• Critical Care experience preferred.
