About The Position

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system that provides care to a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. This role is for the Nurse Residency Program - 2026 Winter Class Graduates. TMH offers NRP cohorts starting every quarter to best fit your needs. Requirements

  • Students may apply during their last semester of nursing school.
  • New graduates who are licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
  • New graduates who are waiting to take the NCLEX.
  • Florida-licensed RNs with less than six months of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting.
  • Submit your application and updated resume to the NRP application cohort corresponding to your graduation.
  • Conduct in-person interviews with units of interest and nursing leadership.
  • Successful completion of a drug screen, background check, reference verification, health assessment, and credential/license verification.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience or completed preceptorship in a specialty area may allow for placement in specialty units (Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, Critical Care, Surgical Services, Emergency Services, Women's & Children's Services). Placement is extremely limited & subject to change.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients within a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia.
  • Work within a 772-bed acute care hospital, serving as the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care.
  • Potentially work in specialized units such as Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care, or advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs.
  • Participate in a Nurse Residency Program (NRP) cohort.
  • Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse.
