About The Position

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking an RN for its pediatric urgent care team. This per diem position will primarily support the Pediatric Urgent Care Clinic in Olympia and may also support clinics in Gig Harbor and Tacoma. The role uses specialized nursing training and knowledge to provide pediatric care through a multidisciplinary approach. The position is part of MultiCare's effort to support nurses in clinical decision-making, open communication, professional development, and the future of nursing.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtain it within five years from the initial date of hire. An RN with 15 or more years of service or an internal candidate hired before January 1, 2021, may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement.
Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, or ARNP).
National certification in Hospice or Palliative Nursing, or ELNEC certification.
Two years of recent pediatric experience.
One year of Hospice or Palliative Care experience.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience while reducing costs.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
