About The Position

MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Ortho/Neuro/Med-Tele team. The RN uses specialized training and knowledge to provide nursing care through a multidisciplinary approach and participates in clinical decision-making and ongoing efforts to improve care. The role is 0.9 FTE, on the day shift, with 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30 and availability for rotating weekends. Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region. It offers inpatient, outpatient, surgical, diagnostic, and emergency services and includes a Level III Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, Maternal Fetal Medicine program, and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS certification.
ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
Certification in a specialty area.
One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience while reducing costs.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
