About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Ortho/Neuro/Med-Tele team at Deaconess Hospital. The role uses specialized nursing knowledge and a multidisciplinary approach to provide patient care. MultiCare describes its nursing environment as one that supports nurses’ participation in clinical decision-making, communication with colleagues, professional development, and understanding the future of nursing at the organization. The position is 0.6 FTE, with two 12-hour day shifts each week. Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region and offers inpatient, outpatient, surgical, diagnostic, and emergency services.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS certification.
ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Certification in a specialty area.
One year of experience in an acute-care setting.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
