About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based Ortho/Neuro/Med-Tele team at Deaconess Hospital. The RN uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. The role involves ongoing organization and evaluation of care, collaboration to improve quality and patient experience, patient and staff education, and advocacy for ethical, holistic care. The position is 0.9 FTE, with three 12-hour day shifts per week.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS certification.
ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
Certification in a specialty area.
One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
