About The Position

The RN works in Endeavor Health’s Inpatient Headache Unit in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week day-shift position, with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and every other weekend required. No travel is required. The nurse assesses patients and gathers health information, coordinates safe and timely care, communicates with patients and other customers, provides individualized patient and family education, participates in quality improvement, and maintains current professional nursing knowledge.

Requirements

Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and collect health data involving the patient, family, and other healthcare providers.
Coordinate the patient plan of care to ensure interventions are consistent, safe, timely, and appropriate.
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers in person, by phone, and in writing.
Individualize patient and family teaching based on an assessment of their learning needs.
Participate in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain professional knowledge of current nursing practice standards, laws, and regulations.
