RN - Inpatient Headache Unit - Days
About The Position
The RN in the Inpatient Headache Unit provides patient assessment and collects health data involving patients, families, and other health care providers. The RN coordinates the patient plan of care to ensure interventions are consistent, safe, timely, and appropriate; communicates clearly with customers in person, by phone, and in writing; and individualizes patient and family teaching to meet assessed learning needs. The role also contributes to evaluating nursing practice quality and effectiveness through quality improvement initiatives and maintains professional knowledge of current nursing practice standards, laws, and regulations. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week position in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the day shift, with every other weekend required. No travel is required.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
