RN - Pediatric Urgent Care Clinic
About The Position
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to support its Pediatric Urgent Care team, part of MultiCare's Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and Network. The position primarily supports the Pediatric Urgent Care Clinic at James Center in Tacoma, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts at the Gig Harbor and Olympia clinics. The RN applies specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary team. The position is per diem, with a 0.01 FTE, day shift, and a variable schedule to fill schedule gaps and cover additional shifts. Nurses at MultiCare are supported in clinical decision-making, communication with colleagues, and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtain it within five years of the initial hire date. An RN with 15 or more years of service, or an internal candidate hired before January 1, 2021, may satisfy this requirement in lieu of an education agreement.
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP).
- National Certification in Hospice, Palliative Nursing, or ELNEC certification.
- Two years of recent pediatric experience.
- One year of Hospice or Palliative Care experience.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
