RN - Nights Home Hospice
About The Position
The RN is an integral member of the hospice interdisciplinary care team, providing patient care visits, assessing medical needs, liaising with physicians, attending deaths, responding to triage calls, and assisting with the admission process. Hospice care must be delivered according to accepted standards of practice and guided by the organization’s mission and the needs and concerns of patients and families. The RN blends hospice services into an integrated program of support and provides coaching and education to patients and families. The position is based at a facility in Northwest Arkansas or northeastern Oklahoma. The RN makes home hospice nursing visits as needed and in rotation with teammates. It offers a night differential, mileage reimbursement, and benefits package.
Requirements
- Current unrestricted RN license in Arkansas, Oklahoma, or a compact state.
- BLS certification.
- Strong assessment skills.
- Critical thinking and a high level of problem-solving ability in a healthcare facility.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm and cope with human suffering and emergencies.
- Personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Hospice, home health, or acute care nursing experience.
- Computer charting experience.
