About The Position

This new specialty pay is in addition to your base pay rate and any applicable shift differential. The specialty pay applies to the roles of: RN, RN-Charge, RN-Weekend, and RN Shift Coordinator. The specialty pay applies to Full-time, Part-time, and PRN statuses. The specialty pay applies to both 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts. Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
All new-hire Associate Degree Registered Nurses (new graduate and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within one (1) year of hire and complete an approved BSN program within three (3) years of hire (required for UofL Hospital only)
Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
Two years of hospital patient care experience
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (may be required for specific clinical areas)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (may be required for specific clinical areas)

Responsibilities

All new RN graduates will participate in the Nurse Residency program and must successfully complete all activities
