About The Position
The RN assesses patients before surgery, prepares and maintains the operating room, assists surgeons during operations, monitors patients’ vital signs, and evaluates patients postoperatively. The role also includes reviewing charts for completeness before and after surgical procedures in accordance with documentation protocols and adhering to relevant health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ conditions before surgery.
- Ensure the operating room is prepared with necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
- Keep the operating room sterilized.
- Pass medical instruments to surgeons during operations.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs.
- Evaluate postoperative patients.
- Review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols before and after surgical procedures.
- Adhere to relevant health and safety standards.
