About The Position

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse is a Registered Nurse with limited experience caring for adult psychiatric patients. At this level, the nurse is learning to apply psychiatric nursing knowledge and skills to patient care, using learned facts and rules to organize care and guide practice. With increased experience, the nurse becomes increasingly able to adapt interventions to individual patient needs and develops a basic understanding of reflective practice. The nurse also performs duties and responsibilities assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
