About The Position

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Edison Job Corps Center in Edison, New Jersey, where staff provide services to local youth. The RN is responsible for treating and preventing minor injuries and illnesses and ensuring that students receive medical clinical care. The role also provides information and guidance that promote students’ health and well-being.

This is a PRN position with a variable schedule, working when needed. The posting states there are no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to students as authorized by the medical provider and within the scope of the state-specific nurse practice act.
• Supervise staff LPNs/LVNs to ensure compliance with state regulations and the applicable scope of practice and nurse practice act.
• Provide basic health care to students as required by the Department of Labor, including entry requirements and immunizations.
• Monitor students who are ill and unable to attend class.
• Treat and prevent minor injuries and illnesses and ensure students receive medical clinical care.
• Provide information and guidance to promote students’ health and well-being.
