About The Position

Village Caregiving - London is seeking an experienced and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse to join its home care team serving Washington, Marion, Casey, and Adair counties. Village Caregiving is a non-medical home care agency that provides caregivers to assist clients with activities of daily living in their homes. The nurse visits clients’ homes to document medical history and complete health assessments, then helps develop personalized plans of care for caregivers to follow based on each client’s individual needs. Additional duties may include caregiver training sessions.

This flexible position allows assessments during daytime or evening hours, and on weekends if preferred, as scheduled with clients. Pay is $60 per hour for up to two hours per client assessment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s School of Nursing, or vocational nursing.
• Current Kentucky state license as a Registered Nurse.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• Compassionate, friendly demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes for one-on-one visits.
• Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify home health patients’ physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
• Assess patients’ conditions and chart observations; perform evaluation tasks, including taking vital signs and reviewing medications.
• Communicate effectively with patients or clients, family members, team members, and other health care professionals.
• Document medical history and complete health assessments.
• Help develop personalized plans of care for caregivers to follow.
• Conduct caregiver training sessions as needed.
