About The Position

This role involves coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create and evaluate customized patient care plans. The RN will maintain patient medical histories, monitor changes in patient conditions, administer treatments and medications, and adjust medications as needed. Responsibilities also include maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment, providing immediate care during emergencies, consulting with pharmacists and physicians on critical cases, educating patients and families about diseases and treatments, preparing patients for examinations, assisting doctors during surgery, and performing lab work. Continuous learning through educational workshops is expected to enhance professional and technical knowledge. The role also involves recommending treatments such as inhalation and physical therapy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associates in Nursing, or has graduated from an accredited and approved nursing program.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current certification/license in the State of Missouri.
  • Class B Basic Life Support (CPR) within 90 days of employment and renewed biannually.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
  • Ability to complete competency CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of general, or Skilled Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals for creating and evaluating customized care plans.

  • Changing patient’s medication as indicated by their conditions and responses.

  • Discussing treatment with pharmacists and physicians in the critical cases.
  • Providing necessary guidance on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Preparing patients for examinations.
  • Educating patient’s families about the disease and its treatment.
  • Assisting doctors during surgery.
  • Attending educational workshops for enhancing professional and technical knowledge.
  • Performing lab work and giving complete information to the physician about patient’s condition during anesthesia.
  • Recommending drugs and other forms of treatment, like inhalation therapy, physical therapy, etc.
