RN - Adult Psychiatric Unit
About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join the hospital-based Adult Psychiatric Unit team at Auburn Medical Center. The RN uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care through a multidisciplinary approach, contributing to a supportive environment where nurses participate in clinical decision-making and ongoing professional development. The position is listed as a 0.6 FTE evening/day role with 12-hour shifts. The selected candidate rotates between 11:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. shifts, including rotating weekends. Auburn Medical Center is a 195-bed hospital with 58 behavioral health beds and provides a broad range of specialty and acute care services.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
