Medina Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) offers newly renovated patient beds, state-of-the-art technical equipment and top-quality patient care. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional support, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m. with weekend and holiday requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of hire
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.

- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
