About The Position

Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center, a partnership formed in 2022 with one of the world's leading cancer centers, integrates Community's cancer services with MD Anderson across all five of its cancer care sites. This partnership makes Community MD Anderson the only MD Anderson partner in Indiana and one of a select few globally. The Medical Oncology unit offers a diverse patient population including medical, renal, and oncology patients, fostering growth, development, and a culture of self-care, mutual care, and patient/family care. The unit supports Oncology nurses with paid, hands-on training to become chemo-certified and encourages close collaboration with outpatient cancer centers, providers, and a dedicated Oncology pharmacist.

Requirements

  • Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).

Nice To Haves

  • Oncology experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates closely with outpatient cancer centers, providers, and a dedicated Oncology pharmacist.
