RN - Vascular Cardiac Unit
About The Position
Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Cardiac Vascular Unit. This is a full-time opportunity (0.90 FTE) with a 12-hour day shift available. The unit is a 36-bed progressive care, step-down unit within the Heart and Vascular program, specializing in the care of patients recovering from vascular/cardiac surgeries. It is a Telemetry acuity unit focused on both patient health and staff well-being. PHS welcomes applications from both new graduates and experienced RNs. New graduates are eligible for a mandatory residency program designed to support their transition into practice, including seminars, debriefing sessions, support groups, mentoring, and rounding.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing required.
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
- BLS certification from either AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross required for all RN roles.
- ACLS certification required for Progressive Care units.

- Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care on a 36-bed Cardiac Vascular Unit.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and Cardiac and Vascular knowledge.
- Care for patients recovering from vascular/cardiac surgeries on a progressive care, step-down unit.
- Utilize Telemetry acuity monitoring.
