About The Position

Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Cardiac Vascular Unit. This is a full-time opportunity with an FTE of 0.90. The unit is a 36-bed progressive care unit, serving as a step-down unit within the Heart and Vascular program. It specializes in the care of patients recovering from vascular/cardiac surgeries and those working towards specialization. The unit is a Telemetry acuity unit committed to both patient health and staff well-being. PHS welcomes applications from both new graduates and experienced RNs. New graduates are eligible for a mandatory residency program designed to support their transition into practice, including seminars, debriefing sessions, support groups, mentoring, and rounding.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Nursing required.
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• Required Certification from either AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross.
• BLS: All RN roles
• ACLS: Emergency Department, Critical Care, Cardiovascular Lab, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Progressive Care, Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room
• NRP: Family Birthing Center, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Mother/Baby Care
• PALS: Children Services, Cardiovascular Lab, Emergency Department, GI Lab, Interventional Radiology, Surgical Services Pre-Op and Recovery Room

Nice To Haves

• Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care on a 36-bed Cardiac Vascular Unit.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and Cardiac and Vascular knowledge.
• Care for patients recovering from vascular/cardiac surgeries.
• Work on a Telemetry acuity unit.
