Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer
About The Position
Hospital located near Galesburg, Illinois is seeking a full-time, permanent Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer to join their team! This is a full-time, direct hire position with a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and some weekend call coverage is required. The Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer works under the general supervision of the Leader of Cardiopulmonary, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for respiratory, cardiac, and vascular systems as prescribed by a physician. This role also involves collaborating with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans and educate patients and their families about procedures within the Cardiopulmonary Department.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of an Allied Health Field with additional training in ultrasound procedures.
- Must be registered in Adult Vascular and/or ECHO by either American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Responsibilities
- Provides diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for disorders of the respiratory, cardiac, and vascular systems upon receiving written prescriptions from the physician.
- Collaborates with the medical staff and other Healthcare professionals to develop a plan of care for the patient.
- Plans education of the patient and family members regarding procedures of the Cardiopulmonary Department.
