About The Position

Sentara Healthcare is hiring an RN Unit Coordinator for the 2 South Oncology team at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. The 26-bed unit provides oncology care for patients with a range of cancers and specializes in leukemia and lymphoma treatment, radiation, gynecologic cancers, hematologic disorders, and end-of-life care. The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty and provides clinical leadership for nursing care in the department. Under the direction of the department manager, this role leads safety and quality initiatives, improves and simplifies workflows, contributes to staff development, increases staff satisfaction, and promotes excellent customer service.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
At least 18 months of RN experience in an acute care setting.

Nice To Haves

Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities
