About The Position

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff at various levels and coordinates care with other disciplines, using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. The role follows the nursing process, collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers, provides health information and learning opportunities, and participates in discharge planning.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor per Adventist Health policy.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Acute care facility experience.

Responsibilities

Collect relevant data about the patient's health or situation.
Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
Develop plans prescribing interventions to attain outcomes.
Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and use strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes and identify patient outcomes.
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
Provide learning opportunities and health information to patients, family members, and team members.
Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
