About The Position

The System Resource Department at MultiCare Health System is designed to fill workforce gaps in long-term assignments systemwide. System Resource RNs support MultiCare adult hospitals and Freestanding EDs, utilizing the nursing process to independently deliver nursing care to patients to achieve quality outcomes. They receive guidance/supervision based on leader- and self-assessment of opportunities for skill enhancement. System Resource RNs may serve multiple locations through filling workforce gaps across MultiCare Health System in units in which they have competencies. System Resource RNs provide a high-level of clinical nursing care to assigned patients, performing related assessments, procedures and treatments, evaluations, patient care plan development/revisions, and education to patient and/or family. System Resource RNs prioritize the patient and ensure that high quality care is given to assigned patients by following policies, clinical guidelines, safety systems such as medication scanning and bed alarm use, timely and accurate documentation, core measure compliance and serving as a patient advocate. Providing an exceptional patient/family experience is a high priority for System Resource RNs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
  • One (1) year of acute care experience
  • Current BLS Certification required

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to independently deliver nursing care to patients to achieve quality outcomes
  • Support MultiCare adult hospitals and Freestanding EDs
  • Serve multiple locations through filling workforce gaps across MultiCare Health System in units in which they have competencies
  • Provide a high-level of clinical nursing care to assigned patients
  • Perform related assessments, procedures and treatments, evaluations, patient care plan development/revisions, and education to patient and/or family
  • Ensure high quality care is given to assigned patients by following policies, clinical guidelines, safety systems such as medication scanning and bed alarm use, timely and accurate documentation, core measure compliance
  • Serve as a patient advocate
  • Make providing an exceptional patient/family experience high priority
