About The Position

The RN Surgical Services position delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably in accordance with American Nurses Association professional standards and Michigan law. The nurse demonstrates competency through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role upholds professional performance standards in ethical and culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health, with a focus on achieving optimal patient outcomes.

The Big Rapids Surgical Services department provides inpatient and outpatient surgical care across four operating rooms, including a dedicated C-section suite. Its service lines include General, OB/GYNE, Ophthalmology, Urology, Orthopedics, and podiatry. Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months.
