RN Surgical Inpatient PT Mid Shift
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Inpatient Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) with a mid-shift schedule (10:30 am - 11 pm). The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Surgical Inpatient Services (SIPS) unit is a 32-bed unit specializing in inpatient care for post-surgical patients, including total joint replacements, bariatric surgeries, and higher acuity cases such as post-surgical vascular and thoracic patients. The unit also accepts post-operative admissions from the emergency room or a physician's office. SIPS is a suitable unit for new graduate LPNs and RNs seeking exposure to a wide variety of patients.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license
- BLS for Healthcare provider required
Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
