About The Position

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center that provides a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region. The hospital features a state-of-the-art medical campus and is home to Flight For Life® Colorado. It includes four trauma rooms, one of which is the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, enabling them to provide life-saving care to severely ill and injured patients. The hospital has received Magnet designation and numerous awards and accreditations from organizations such as the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, The Joint Commission, Emergency Nurses Association, NAPBC, and American College of Radiology. St. Anthony Hospital combines a heritage of expert care with the latest in technology and innovation, offering opportunities to work in fast-paced environments specializing in trauma, cardiology, stroke, neurosciences, breast imaging, cancer/oncology care, and surgery. The 3rd Floor Surgical Care Unit is a new 28-bed unit specializing in post-operative care for general elective surgical cases, catering to patients with a wide range of diagnoses requiring planned surgical intervention. It is a Magnet® designated, level one trauma center. The unit fosters teamwork and strong coworker relationships, providing excellent patient care and offering growth pathways for staff interested in Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, and the OR. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team, patient, and family to identify and meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. You will promote optimal health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act, while demonstrating personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Requirements

  • Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates
  • RN License required
  • Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
  • Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred for experienced RNs
  • One year experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Benefits

  • $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience (hired into a full-time or part-time position; PRN positions are not eligible; some exclusions apply)
  • Relocation assistance up to $10,000 for those living greater than 50 miles from the facility
